Yoga Nidra w/Jess Bertoncini, RYT
Friday, December 13, 5:30-6:30p.m.

Do you have trouble sleeping?
Does your mind race and keep you from feeling calm and focused?
Do you long for deep peace and tranquility this holiday season?

Feel as relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated as if you got the best sleep of your life
.

Imagine spending a whole hour marinating in a deep, magical state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is an immensely powerful relaxation technique that refreshes and restores the whole body, mind, and spirit. This guided meditation is designed to help you let go of physical tension and worry as you tap into a state of deep, conscious stillness where you feel completely and utterly at peace.

“Better than sleep.”
An hour of Yoga Nidra is said to be the equivalent to 3-4 hours of quality sleep.* While you won’t actually be sleeping in this class, your mind will become more relaxed until it slowly sinks into a delta state, which occurs in your deepest state of sleep. Think of it as your body and mind being completely relaxed and asleep while your consciousness remains awake.

Yoga without the yoga.
If you don’t like the idea of moving and holding yoga poses, this class is perfect for you. There are no poses or movements in Yoga Nidra. During this class, all you have to do is lie down and relax, comfortably supported by blankets and bolsters. Then let the magic happen as you allow your mind to follow Jess’s guidance through breathing, body awareness, and imagery.

Let your worries float away as your mind and body marinate in a deep state of relaxed consciousness.
